Why are they called "WISE OWL GLOW Handles"? Feathers in owl wings possess a hidden glow - and we thought our feather knives should mirror nature!

Though invisible to the human eye, the glow in the feathers of owl wings becomes visible under ultraviolet (UV) blacklight. This effect, known as photoluminescence, is a unique feature of owl feathers. Unlike other birds whose feathers merely reflect UV light, photoluminescent feathers absorb UV rays and re-emit light, often in a different hue. Nature is amazing!

You should make your Scout Feather and Flicker Feather amazing, too!

TOOLS NEEDED: 

• T-8 Torx screwdriver
• hair dryer or heat gun

Simply remove the original whistle, unscrew the existing handles, warm the scales with hair dryer or heat gun to remove them, and then install the luminescent handles using the screws included in the kit and attach the glow whistle. You're set up to glow! 

NOTE: Glow handles are NOT compatible with the Contour Feather.

Glow handles are specifically designed for Scout Feather and Flicker Feather (lefty & righty). While the handle structures appear similar to Contour, the handle on Contour Feather differs in that it has a whistle built into the handle itself. Glow handles DO NOT work with Contour Feather.
